WHAT IS 365 DAYS/365 PLAYS?
On November 13, 2002 Suzan-Lori Parks got an idea to write a play a day for a year.  She began that very day, finishing one year later.  The resulting play cycle, called 365 Days/365Plays, is a daily meditation on an artistic life. Some plays are very short, less than a page. Others last forever.Produced by Bonnie Metzgar and Suzan-Lori Parks. National Coordinator, David Myers. National Press Rep, Carol Fineman. 365U Producer, Rebecca Rugg. To find out more about 365 National, visit 365days365plays.com.

What is 365NYC?
In New York City, The Public Theater will spearhead 365NYC. Over the course of this year, over 60 selected theater companies – curated by The Public and the 365 Days/365 Plays National Festival – will perform these brief, brilliant plays. To find out more about 365NYC, visit publictheater.org/365.

What is 365NYC JULYFEST?
365 JulyFest responds to the overwhelming demand by theater artists through the city to participate in 365NYC, curated by The Public Theater and 365 National. Each week during the month of July, four different theater companies will take on that week’s worth of plays of 365Days/365Plays; spotlighting hundreds of artists and generating an explosive level of work throughout the city.

What are THE CONSTANTS?
Suzan-Lori Parks wrote three additional short plays that exist outside of the 365 play cycle.  They are “The Constants.”  Participants can perform one, two, or all three of The Constants in their week.  As different artists and companies present their individual weeks throughout the year, The Constants will be shared by all.
